About

The yellow-wing flyingfish is an exocoetid of neritic surface waters, and it is rare out in the open ocean. As the name suggests, it can leap clear of the water and glide for long distances above the surface, which is how it escapes predators. Commonly about 20 cm and up to 27 cm total length, at 0 to 20 m. Its fishing vulnerability is only 16 out of 100 and populations recover quickly. Medium priced.
