About

The goldfish, in its wild crucian-carp form, is a small deep-bodied, barbel-less fish common in Hong Kong reservoirs and streams. It is omnivorous, feeding on plankton, benthic invertebrates and plant debris, and its hardiness and numbers make it a dependable entry-level catch on fine hooks with paste or worm. It is present all year and still bites, if more slowly, in cool weather.
